Globe Drifting
I grew up in England where I studied French and Chinese; my father is Bulgarian, my mother is German Jewish and I am caught somewhere in between. With my Jewish nose, Bulgarian skin and English accent, I at once belong to British, East German, Bulgarian, Jewish, French and Chinese cultures and yet to none of them at all; shifting between cultural identities, I am drifting across the globe in the hope of stumbling upon enlightenment- or at very least, a nice fat piece of double chocolate cake. The world is my oyster, my oyster through a lens…
Have an idle gander through my blog on global issues, cinema, cycling, travel, photography, fashion and the dolly mixture that is life.
I also love this song.
‘Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.’– Mark Twain

That was very good the introduction, you´re from everywhere, what are you?!(wink)
If you have to go for the chocolate….can you share it with me?
Been browsing through some of your pictures, very good. One that I don´t why I find it creepy-beautiful, is the one of the girl walking through a path surrounded by trees without leaves. It´s haunting, you´re almost expecting to suddenly something or someone to jump out and attack the girl.
Sorry you had to endure the pain of reading some of my nutty things. Great blog you have here.

Interesting that you don’t mention your faith. Without faith your quest for enlightenment will be fraught with difficulties. I wish you good luck and hope your journey ends well, ultimately providing you with happiness and joy. Thank you for following my blog.
Great Video…great blog….
Wow! What a blog you have here! Thanks for following me and leading me to your place!
Hi Rachel, thanks for following my blog. I look forward to following your blog. When I look through your blog I think of a conversation I had years ago – it was about art. The man said ‘You want to see art? I’ll show you art tomorrow.’ The next day he handed me a small book full of photos of…pigeons’ eyes. Page after page of them. The range of colours was absolutely amazing! You have that same feeling for colour. Best regards, Phil Stanfield
Amazing colour, wow, – wonderful to meet you 🙂 xx

Hello Rachel, You have some very cool photographs I enjoyed looking through them! I am still learning much about photography and the taking of really good photo’s. Hopefully lots of practice will make me as good as you!
Wow – your blog is visually rich. Love the bit about Johnny Depp, forgot he had so many loves!
I am interested in culture, what it is, who defines it, who can claim it, etc… and how we identify and maintain unique cultures in a world that increasingly transcends boundaries. I have explored cultural ownership in a fabric art medium (http://chiekoville.wordpress.com) but few seems to get the point. From what you’ve written above, I think you might. Anyway, thank you for sharing yourself here on this very unique and colorful blog! 🙂
Hey there! Thanks for the follow, really appreciated 🙂 just the colourfulness of your blog makes me smile, and that’s without delving into your posts, which I’m about to do, thank you x
I’ve been visiting some of your posts and am really enjoying your blog. All the best! 🙂

Cool site! I see we have North Korea posts in common. Your ethnic background is very interesting. I look forward to getting to know you better! Cheers 🙂
So lovely to connect with your very interesting site 🙂
Hey Rachel. You found my Photo-Gallery Blog!! Thanks for following. I’m not sure quite how it will work out yet but I am slowly developing my photography and like the idea of a separate site to display stuff which won’t interfere with Jamoroki the main blog but can link back to relevant posts. Any comments will be appreciated. Even if you don’t like something it could be helpful. James
I see we frequent the same musical places… nice to meet a kindred soul. Right on!

Rachel K,
You should probably consider upgrading your blog to a website given the diversity of information you are willing to share and the amount of followers you accumulated & will generate. I don’t think your topics are unique but you are creative and original, with a voice that people would enjoy listening to, so don’t be afraid and upgrade. Peace!
Your blog is awesome! Packed full of very resourceful and researchful filled posts! I hope that we can get some conversation going as I would love to learn as much from you as possible, and of course, teach you as much as I know about whatever the topic of discussion may be, as possible!
Best Regards,
Dominic J.
What a cool blog!! I love that quote by Mark Twain…I usually say, Hell is where the party is at!

Thanks for following my blog! I saw the message in my Inbox that “RachelK is now following your blog”, and thought it was my oldest daughter 🙂
Then I realized it was a different Rachel K – small world!
Hi Rachel, this is a wonderful blog, I’m so glad to have found it. Especially love the global architecture piece – amazing pictures! – and lots too on dance, cycling, so many things!
Thanks for liking my dance-piece Quicksilver http://jeremythurlow.wordpress.com/2013/11/26/quicksilver-new-video/. I have one other dance-video on my site, very different: energy and colour, where Quicksilver was water and flow… http://jeremythurlow.wordpress.com/2012/01/17/light-matter-revisited/
Anyway, I’ll definitely keep following this blog – thanks again. J
I dream of the day when the pot of the world is so stirred that our heritage is just an interesting individual trait like hair colour.
What an interesting blog you have!
Thank you for the follow, RachelK. Great photos on your site! Are they all yours? If so, you have a good eye. How is that you’ve had the chance to see so much of the world? I’ll have to return to check out all the subjects you explore. But I enjoyed the architectural views you’ve collected. As a former New Yorker, I’d point you to a few of the skyscrapers there, if you’re in the neighborhood. Happy Travels.
